Try Before Your Committed!
This is a one-time hand building class is where you will learn how to use the tools, stamps and found objects to create a sculpture from a lump of clay.
Don’t let the word sculpture scare you. You will use the tools and techniques taught to push, pull, remove clay and add clay to produce a piece that only you can create from what you see in front of you.
In the Beginning!
In this session, you will learn the basic hand building techniques of Pinch Pot, Coil and Slab.
By the end of the session, you should have at least 3 finished pieces ready for glazing in The Great Cover Up! class.
Become an Explorer!
You must have attended In the Beginning before you become an Explorer.
Become an Explorer and try the techniques you have learned so far. Combine two techniques with one.
You will design your project and then execute your design. This is your time to explore the type of ceramics you wish to make.
The Great Cover Up!
It’s time to glaze all those pieces you have created. You will learn about glazes, the different types of glazes and how to apply them to bisque fired pieces.
Glazes will be provided but you are more than welcome to purchase your own. Due to the limited space in the studio, you will have to take home your personal supplies and bring them back with you to your next class.
Space is limited to 4 students at a time. Since the class size is small, more than one type of art class can be taught at a time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Beginners Acrylic Painting!
